As an extension of my heartbeat and breath, I propel myself into the community visually. While worms move through an electrical ground, idiosyncratic objects are repositioned from safety into unfamiliar settings. They are often capable of expanding, and although contorted, they return to their original shape subsequently. Drops of spit and sweat are emitted, as many pass judgment, on nothing more than one of my appendages and, despondent, it wishes to be saved. My heart extends to the object-child, most vulnerable to pain. As I bear witness to the works’ first steps into the sea, my expectations remain high. “Prepare for the swim, and link with the human condition of another,” I say. Through the understanding of oneness, and connectivity we may be rescued.
Frame by pixel by knot by stitch, an image of you is created and all that I can see is the shadow of I and I and him.
